What a week!

This week was very busy and I LOVED it! It makes me very happy when I have lots to do. Well it all started Tuesday morning when my mom flew into town :) She came for a Bon Jovi concert with her sisters. They are so funny. All 7 of them have LOVED John Bon Jovi forever. I think this was my moms 6th concert of his.

The next day my neighbor Lisa went to the hospital to get induced to have a her cute baby boy, so I had her daughter Evie (same age as Ava) for the next two days. They were so fun together. It was actually a lot easier to have both of them because they kept each other occupied. We went to the hospital a few times so Lisa could see Evie. Ava loves "Ebie"

Saturday was MeKells shower! Tanners cute cousin is getting married on April 29th (same day as the Royal Wedding) I threw her bridal shower. It was such a blast! Everything went perfect! We had it at their grandmas house. The theme was "For time and all eternity" also known as "Around the clock". The food was food through out the day.

Breakfast was stuffed crepes with homemade Buttermilk syrup.

Brunch was Mini Quiches. Lunch was chicken salad on white.

Dinner was chicken pineapple kabobs with dinner rolls that his grandma made AMAZING! I have yet to make really good dinner rolls.

Dessert was orange chocolate mousse

It was so cute when MeKell told us how she met Zack and how he proposed. She was smiling the whole time...awww love!

I wasn't very good at taking photos the whole time, so thees are not that great :(
MeKell got LOTS of great gifts. Great turn out about 24 people. The game we played was simple and I think people really liked it because it was not a "Typical" shower game. On everyone invitation they got a specific time of the day to buy a gift for MeKell. Example: Her cousin Tara had 12am so she got her late night snack food and a nightie :) So after MeKell opened presents everyone had to right down what time each person had. I did not tell before, so it was fun to see who was paying attention and who was not. The winner got a cute clock I found at Walmart.

Party Favors were fun to make. Cupcake in a Jar!

Duckies want some num num's??

"Ava do you want some num num's?" This is what I ask her every time I try to feed her. So when we were feeding the ducks today she kept asking the ducks "Duckies want some num num's?" It is such a beautiful day today. We met Tanner at the duck pool at BYU for lunch.

Teaching her how to feed the duckies.

I miss this girl

Today is such a beautiful day outside. If this was exactly one year ago today I would be outside on the grass with Caroline and her cute kids. Spring coming just reminds me of them so much because that was when we became really close. All of us neighbors would go outside and get to know each other. I'm so bummed she lives in Florida now. I'm bummed their is dog poop on the grass so we can't sit their anymore. You would think the HOA would take care of that. I miss her kids not knowing how to knock on the door and just yelling "miss Alana, miss Alana, miss Alana" until I answered the door. It's also her husbands birthday today HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!
Caroline- I was just looking at pics from your blog and you look AMAZING you did so good this pregnancy!! Caroline will be 37 weeks pregnant tomorrow :) Any day now Solomon Roy will be in this world!! haha I should probably be emailing her instead of letting everyone read this but I thought this would be more fun.
Caroline I miss you.

Fun weekend!

Saturday night we planed going on a much need hubby and wife date. My sister and her hubby came down to watch Ava. I was looking forward to getting candy from the dollar store and going to the dollar movie to watch the new Harry Potter. Well Provo being Provo that did not happen. The theater was a joke. Every movie was sold out. I was SO looking forward to eating candy, watching the movie and holding the husbands hand. Luckily we had a back up plan. Our friends were hosting a game night at the club house but we turned down the invite because of our date. Well we called them up told them we were coming and had a blast. It was so fun. They have done this once before but with different people. They asked us to come again to "break the ice". I think they know I am an easy target for people to laugh at and Tanner is the one to egg it on :) The group are people in our ward. It's so fun to get to know people that you see every week but never really talk to them. I love our ward. I love this complex. There are so many fun people! So yes Saturday night was a success. Sunday was good as well. As we were leaving church a sister Adams came and said "Alana, do you know your daughter is special?" I'm thinking, Uh oh how should I take that? If its because of the red hair I'll fix it don't worry. "She is not like any other child. She is so funny, independent and knows what shes doing." Sister Adams is really nice and funny so I knew she was going to give Ava a complement. Yes that is our child though Miss Independent. I love that their is 100 kids in our ward and everyone just thinks Ava is hilarious. I don't think I will ever have to worry about her being a follower, she definitely is a leader.
When we got home from church Tanner wanted something delicious. He did not want dinner, he wanted sweets. So I made eclairs. I remember looking a recipes a while ago and wanting to try it. It was my first time ever making them but they turned out perfect! For the filling I put Vanilla pudding and Chocolate frosting for the top. This is something I will perfect in the future. Next time I want to put my chocolate orange mousse for the filling.

Just some blah blah blah

Ava is down for the night and Tanner is in class. He is up in SLC again for class till 11 tonight but all other nights he works till 11 so its no difference for me. So how is everyone doing tonight? HA! Can you tell I have nothing to do right now :)
I'm throwing a bridal shower for Tanner's cousin MeKell. I'm so excited! She gets married on April 29 (same day as Prince William and Kate Middleton). So the shower will be some time early April.
My cousin and his wife had their baby yesterday. Carson MacKay Youd. (I love his name) Congratulations Cory and Kaitlyn!!

Here are some pics of the last few days.

Before the "the episode" at temple square, Ava had some fun.
In front of the statue of Joseph giving Emma funds to start The Relief Society.

Ava looks bummed posing in front of the Temple. Don't worry Ava you will get married in the San Diego Temple :)

She got in herself and wanted to drive. It's already starting...

Good day? Or day that needs to end?

Tanner had to take a test at the BYU campus in SLC so we went with him! While he was taking his test I called up my fun cousin Megan to go to lunch, she goes to the U. We went to CPK. We had a great time. However, Ava spilt her apple juice all down her shirt and I did not bring an extra change of clothes (go me). So I took her shirt off and put her coat on with nothing under it (a little white trash, I'm not gunna lie). When I took Megan back to her place that was when I felt it. Yup the big . That means another month passing by with no fetus to greet us.
Anyway Tanner still had not called to say he was done so Ava and I walked around Temple square. It was such a beautiful day. We were having a great time until she saw it. The blue flowing paradise. The water fountain. Ava LOVES the water. She loves pools, baths, toilets ext... She immediately ran right to it and lifted her leg to get in. When I pulled her away she was SCREAMING hysterically. Now I know all kids have their moments and they are moody but I have never heard a child scream so loudly. I could not believe she was acting like this. She never acts like this. She screamed and screamed and screamed. There was kicking, laying on the ground screaming, hitting me screaming. Anything you can think of a toddler doing while throwing a tantrum, she was doing. Her screams were bouncing off the big, tall buildings. I tried to hurry to the car before the General Authority's came out of their office's to not only kick us out of temple square but kick us out of the church completely.
When we got home Tanner left for work and I put Ava down for nap :)
Tonight she threw another tantrum of not eating her dinner. I have made shepherds pie many times and she always eats it! I thought it was the terrible two's not the terrible 21 month's. I would show you pictures of the day but I can't find my phone.
Well I guess today was just another day for all moms out there.
I thought I was safe putting Ava to bed a little early tonight but she is crying. Got 2 go!
