So much to do in so much time?

Today is one of those days where I have so much to do but I do NOT want to do it. We are leaving early Sunday morning to go home for Christmas!!! I can't believe Christmas Eve is exactly one week away...CRAZY! I still have a few more presents to buy. I better not be like this when I have 8 kids and can only go shopping when they are at school. I need to get my bum in gear and get all the shopping done early and not procrastinate like I am this year. I'm so excited to go home and see our family. We have the whole week planed and I'm sooo excited!!! But before any of that happens I need to start doing stuff to get ready to go. This will be Ava's first loooooong car trip...any suggestions on what to do so she will be good for that long of a drive?

Oh Martha! Oh Christmas! :)

It has just been go go go lately...its been so fun! Every few days or so I have been working for Culinary Crafts. They are a catering company(the number one catering company in Utah). They are very busy now that it is the Christmas season. Whenever they call Tanner and I to work we always take it because it is GREAT flo and now that Christmas is here everyone could use some more of that. Also I have been doing a charity for Tanner's work. He works at APX and they are doing what is called Sub for Santa. Its for family's who do not have enough to give their children Santa presents. Apx gives each team a certain amount of money for each child. Then we go out and buy them clothes, shoes, books toys etc...(we have info on each child of what they like) Then the next night we wrapped the presents and take them to the homes. It was so great! Tanner and I want to do more charity this Christmas season. So what we are going to do is take the money we were going to spend on each other for Christmas and buy fabric to make blankets for the homeless people downtown (I think Tanner was really happy about this so he didn't have to worry about what to get me for Christmas). If you have any extra blankets that you would like to donate just let me know! The funny thing is my sister and her husband are collecting blankets from people also and we didn't tell each other we were doing this! (Must be a sister thing) OK I'm not going to type a long one like last time. So just let me know if you have blankets and/or coats that you would like to donate! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Oh boy!!

Sorry I have not written in a while...I've been very busy and honestly I loved it!! I love it when I don't have down time (because I always do). Where do I start? Lets start on two Thursdays ago when New Moon came out. You should have saw the lines! It was crazy!!!! People were camping out the day before for the midnight showing!! Same with In N Out!! N E who...I was so excited to see it but walked out of there kind of disappointed. I think I'm the only person in the whole world who felt that way. The acting just did not do it for me. Also this was my first book to movie (I do not read at all). Jacob did have (don't tell Tanner I said this) the body well done. Edward was dreamy but I guess the way our minds picture things while we read are what we want to see. Oh and do not get me started on Kristen Stewart I do not like her in real life but as Bella I like her(her acting could use some work tho). I don't mean to complain about the movie I am very grateful that we were able to see. Tanner and I use lines from the movie all the time "Things are about to get very ugly" That would be Jacob to Alice...the whole theater was laughing when it was suppose to be serious.

The next day Friday night I asked Tanner what he wanted to do and he wanted to decorate for Christmas!!! I was so excited!!! So far its just been me decorating our home and holidays but this time he wanted to help! So we decorated(and when I say "we" I mean he got the tree out of storage and that was his decorating). Its probably a good thing he didn't really help because I am very picky about where everything goes. So now our home is all Christmas!!! I have the fire going, Christmas music playing and its cold outside! Ava even has her own little tree (it has pearls, I love pearls). I'll put pictures up soon.

The next morning (Saturday) I made 20 baked potatoes for a funeral in our ward. We had a huge bag that we got at Walmart for $2 so it was perfect when they needed someone for that. Then Tanner and I went to Walmart, Target and Mall. Later we met up with our friends Allison and Travis for bowling. They brought their nephews Ryan and Caleb who I feel so bad for. They come from a not strong family and are being put up for foster care. When I heard this my heart fell. These boys are so good and kind I feel so bad for them. Any way we are bowling and I find out that I am the worst bowler ever! Ryan the nine year old beat me! I'm not trying to brag but I use to go bowling all the time...over the summer that's all we did. I WAS GOOD! WHAT HAPPENED! So that is something I need to work on.

Now its Sunday...we had a great day at church and came home to lay around by the tree! Later that night Logan and Michelle came over to hang because they were leaving the next day to go home for Thanksgiving. Michelle and I LOVE playing Monopoly. Tanner plays with us too sometimes. Every time we play I win. It drives them crazy...well I'm sad to say that when shell and I played, I lost :( Michelle beat me. Tanner was so happy! What is this a husband that is happy his wife lost!! Michelle was pretty happy her self. I will get that winning streak back don't worry.

Monday comes WORST DAY EVER! Everything is going fine...I went shopping for the Thanksgiving food (money my mom gave me because they came up here). I decided to pick a few things up at the dollar store BIG MISTAKE (but I did find my stockings that are soo cute). As we are leaving the store I push a cart out of the way to get by then the worst thing happened, I hear a big BANG. Ava's car seat is flipped over on the floor with her under it (I still can not get that image out of my head) I screamed. Now the dollar store carts are a lot smaller than most carts. Her car seat slid right off unlike a normal cart would because they are bigger. I'm on the floor with Ava not knowing what to do. I'm rocking her trying to let her know that mom is here. I'm trying to get her to drink her bottle so she will stop screaming...I'm crying hysterically with a million thoughts going threw my head "internal bleeding, cracked scull, broken knee caps, something wrong with her spine". As this is going on people are stepping over me giving me dirty looks because I'm in there way. One lady came up and wanted to know how old Ava was and start a conversation. Do they not see that Ava is screaming and I'm freaking out on the floor in the middle of the dollar store!!!! Finally a man helped me out to my car he was really nice and calmed me down. As we drove away I called Tanner to tell him that I am taking her to the ER (OK i might have freaked out a little too much to take her to the ER but it seemed like she fell off a mountain and we have Medicaid so it covers everything! ) When I get there I'm telling the front desk girl what happened and I'm still balling! In the waiting room I'm still crying and Ava is cooing, sucking on her fingers and smiling at everyone in there. Almost everyone said "shes your first huh". Finlay after about two hours Ava got her CT scan to make sure her head was OK. She was perfect. Nothing was wrong with her and she was a hit!! The doctors and nurses loved her!! One nurse said"they are still talking about your daughter in radiology she is so cute" I was just so happy that everything was fine with her. I think that whole experience was Heavenly Father preparing me just in case nothing worse could happen to her.

Now its Thanksgiving. My parents and brother came in Wednesday night and stayed with us. Ashley and Rob came down for the night. It was so fun we ordered pizza, put together this new bouncy toy thing that my parents got for Ava (pictures will be up...she loves it)and played games. I started to make the pies and rolls the night before. Thanksgiving morning Dad Kyle and Tanner went to go bowling with my extended family while us girls were cooking at Ashley's house. The dinner turned out great! It was a great year to learn because my sister and I were cooking but my mom was there to help us if we had any questions ( she was to busy holding Ava). It was a good Thanksgiving but we missed our other family down in California, we are very excited to spend Christmas with them!

My dad took us to see The Blind Side Friday night IT WAS SO GOOD! I loved it! Before that we went to the Jordan River temple where my grandpa is a Sealer. We did sealing sessions with him but the cool thing was that I got to witness both of my grandpas being sealed to their parents in the same session. My grandpa Salisbury died two years ago and I did the Genealogy work for him so he can be together with his parents forever. We were waiting for my dad to come up because he wanted to be their. Also my grandpa king was sealed to his parents who past away years ago. That was a cool experience. Then Saturday morning my mom and I went shopping for Ava's Christmas dress. Ya we walked out of the mall with two dresses for her. Then Tanner Ava and I got our family Christmas pictures for a great price! It was so hard not buy all of them because Ava did so good! Then we went down to my grandpas house to watch the BYU vs Utah game. GO COUGARS!! I love BYU (not a fan of Max Hall tho). I'm happy my parents were able to come up for Thanksgiving we had a blast...oh and Michelle, Kyle beat me at Monopoly...again.

OK now that I have written a novel I will wrap this up. I am so Thankful for all that I have. On Sunday in church we sang "Because I have been given much" of course I started balling. Here are the words.

Because I have been given much, I too must give
Because of thy great bounty, Lord, each day I live
I shall divide my gifts from thee
With every brother that I see
Who has the need of help from me.

Because I have been sheltered, fed by thy good care.
I cannot see another’s lack and I not share
My glowing fire, my loaf of bread
My roof’s save shelter overhead
That he too might be comforted

Because I have been blessed by thy great love, dear Lord
I’ll share thy love again, according to thy word
I shall give love to those in need.
I’ll show love by word and deed
Thus shall my thanks be thanks indeed.

I have been given so much and I need to give more. I have been feeling guilty about that lately. This Christmas season Tanner and I want to do something special for the less fortunate. Wow sorry this was so long...Ill try to be better at just writing every day and not adding it up to one blog.
